The 2008 PA Bar Competition points race has been updated today to reflect the Tour de Christiana. In the small teams competition, we have moved up from 7th to tie for 6th place with UPMC Cycling Performance.
The individual standings have also changed.
The 17th Annual Tour de Christiana was held on Sunday, August 8, 2008 in Christiana, PA. The was hit hard by rain and hail at around 2:00, but the race went on after a considerable delay. In the 4/5 race, Manny, Noah, Doug, Kerry and Jordan Binkley went at the challenging course full bore, in an attempt to maintain Binkley’s PA Bar Competition lead against second place contender Sean McLaughlin of Human Zoom. Kerry Werner took a solid 4th place in the tattered field, earning enough Bar points from 6th back into 3rd place. Photos from the Tour de Christiana can be found here.
Two weeks ago, Manny, Jordo, Kerry and Jordan Binkley traveled to Doylestown for the 3rd Annual CycleSports Circuit Race. Jordo had disappointing day on the bike getting a flat tire one lap into the event. Manny finished third in the sprint, second to Sean McLaughlin, while Jordan Binkley and Kerry got boxed in at the finish.
Three weeks ago, the Grandview Grand Prix was held in Lancaster, PA. Full race results are available here. For us, the day was littered with flat tires, a bad crash, and a lot of frustration. However, Manny took top honors in the 4/5 race finishing 6th, Doug with 11th, and Jordan Binkley with 13th. Kerry had a strong 8th place finish in the 3/4 race, while Amos took 29th.
Currently in the small teams competition for PA BAR, we currently rank 7th overall behind pro team Colavita Racing, and elite team Hershey Cancer Institute-GPOA Cannondale, and Vortex Cycling, to name a few.
