New Holland Rec Open House Wednesday 2-7PM!

Alright folks, the moment has arrived for a sneak peak at the almost complete New Holland Recreation Center! This Wednesday, December 31st from 2-7PM, the New Holland Rec will be hosting an open house to the public to come check out their facilities. Having gotten a tour a couple of weeks ago during construction, I can personally say that I am very excited to see how things are finishing up. It will be most exciting and will highlight the opportunities for good health, fitness, and recreation in the area. For a blueprint of the New Holland Rec Center, click here. We plan on being there throughout the evening, so feel free to stop in to say hello to us or our new training center! Hope to see you at the Rec!

Welcoming the New Holland Rec Center!

For many, many years, the eastern Lancaster County region has lacked a central hub for fitness, wellness, sports, and information. Now, with the construction of the New Holland Recreation Center, all of that is about to change. This is a very exciting event for us, as the soft opening of the Rec Center is slated for January 5, 2008. With that, we could not be happier to add The New Holland Recreation Center to our sponsor list for 2009!

We fully plan to be training at their facilities quite often, as they have very much to offer both the cycling and fitness community. Such offerings include a very large pool, fitness room, gymnasium, child care, walking track, aerobics room, classroom, ability to host meetings, birthday parties, as well as conventions. There are many exciting classes held regularly at the Rec that include cycling, pool workouts, weight training, pilates, yoga, youth programs, the list just goes on!

The goal of the New Holland Recreation Center is to “Have a mission to to enhance our community by providing a facility that promotes individual health and wellness while encouraging relationships that will enrich our lives.” The folks at the Rec are extremely knowledgeable, personable, and community oriented. There is no doubt that the Rec will have an incredible impact on the area, especially in the realms of fitness, health education, sport, excitement and recreation.

SpeedDream Sports Welcomes LongView Structures!

We are very pleased to announce the addition of LongView Structures to our sponsor list for the 2009 race season! LongView has an amazingly incredible philosophy of utilizing green, eco friendly materials and concepts in both their design and construction. Even their paper and mailing envelopes are made of 100% recycled paper. Here’s a brief overview of LongView Structures: Building for a sustainable tomorrow.

Who We Are

LongView Structures LLC is a young, innovative company focused on creating big impacts with small footprints; a partnership of craftsmanship and design, new technologies and salvaged material, dream homes and a flourishing environment.  We are passionate about delivering uncompromising results to our clientele while creating a healthy environment both in and outside of the home.  Sustainability is at the forefront of our minds and our projects and we actively research and pursue new options in green and eco-sensitive construction.  We are a team dedicated to unsurpassed quality and environmental responsibility.

What We Do

We are a full service design/build firm specializing in eco-friendly construction practices, meaning that after meeting with a homeowner, we design the home or renovation, draw the blueprints, and complete the construction to exacting specifications and quality standards.  With the ability to not only draw and design an owner’s wishes, but to do the physical construction of the project itself virtually eliminates miscommunications and inadvertent errors that occur between traditional homeowner/contractor/ designer relationships.  Our streamlined approach allows for more direct control over the project; from initial concept to the jobsite, we are there, driving nails, standing walls, installing trim, and overseeing the construction, ensuring that our client’s wishes that we drew on paper are met in reality.  All of this is done with an eye toward environmental sensitivity and sustainability, making sure that the home is constructed in a way that will be functional, aesthetically pleasing, and environmentally conscious, leading towards a healthy living space for the homeowner and a positive impact on the surrounding neighborhood through reduced energy costs and consumption, lower levels of toxicity in materials used, and sustainable resources for the building itself.

Our Goals

LongView Structures is striving to become a leader in environmental design and building.  Whether or not the home will be a completely new dwelling incorporating all of the latest green technology and material to become a self-sustaining home, or more simply, a basement remodel on a fixed budget, we aim to provide all homeowners with an environmentally friendly option to their dreams.  We believe that every home can be a green home, and that earth-friendly and people-healthy structures should be the standard applied to all building.  By tailoring each project to a specific set of client wishes, budget limits, and desires, we aim to offer sustainable options to fulfill whatever the homeowner dream may be.  We hope to make every project we touch a better and healthier project for homeowner and environment.
