Who We Are

Cycling is our passion. It is what we love to do. When it is 18 degrees in the dead of winter, we still feel better after a hard ride than if we stayed inside all day long, sipping hot cocoa and watching the 1999 Tour de France on DVD… hm, although, we do enjoy that, too. Six days a week, 52 weeks a year. Yeah, that’s us out there; those crazy idiots who are riding their bikes to who knows where in the middle of the snow storm wearing that ridiculous spandex. Don’t feel bad, though; we think it is you who is crazy for driving to the grocery store in your pimped out Hummer just for milk and a loaf of bread.

img_1668.JPGWe don’t ride because we have to or because someone makes us. We are not out to save the whole wide world, and we are certainly not out to win at all costs. But we don’t quit until we either cross the finish line, find it impossible to turn the crank, or can’t get our water bottles to thaw out after our last bit of cash went to that King Size Snickers bar at that shady gas station fourteen miles back. No, it is not always easy. The challenges can get pretty big, so do the hills that we climb. Occasionally we wreck, and regularly we get cut off in traffic. But we love it just the same. The sport, the culture, the people, the bicycles, the races, the fresh air, the warm sunlight kissing the rolling Pennsylvania countryside. We crave each opportunity to have fun on the bike and compete, facing new challenges with hopes of success and enjoyment… this is why we eat, sleep, breathe, and live this sport. This is our addiction, our passion; we’d have it no other way.
